The Question Qualifier:
This question is designed to help you measure the person's desire to work in small group settings.
The Question:
"Tell me about a time when you either were assigned or forced by circumstances to complete a project or task within a small group."

What to look for in the response:
Here is what to look for in the response. Did the person willingly participate? If so, did the person give evidence of supporting others, of active listening, of collaborating to achieve the group's assigned task, of enjoying the process? If not, did the person give evidence of withdrawing from the group effort or of behaving negatively in its attempt to function?

The Question Qualifier:
This question focuses on the person's comfort level in making presentations to groups.
The Question:
"Walk me through a situation where you were asked to make a presentation to a group or that you felt it necessary to do so in order to accomplish some end result."

What to look for in the response:
Here is what to look for in the response. What verbal abilities did the person demonstrate? Was the person organized in arranging the material to be presented and in the presentation itself? Did the person demonstrate creativity? How did the person handle questions, differences of opinions, or objections? Did the person give evidence of being comfortable and self assured particularly in handling resistance?

The Question:

What to look for in the response:
Did the person maintain control of his or her emotions and perhaps the situation itself? Was the outcome successful, appropriate, or "win-win"? What did you learn about this person's style in dealing with people?

The Question Qualifier:
This question is intended to help you understand the person's capacity to stay focused for extended periods of time.
The Question:
"Tell me about a difficult task you had to accomplish or problem you needed to solve."

What to look for in the response:
Did the person give evidence of being able to stick with the task or problem until it was completed or resolved? Was the outcome successful or appropriate? Was the person able to stay calm and focused? What did you learn about the person's sense of consistency and dependability?

The Question Qualifier:
This question focuses on the person's capacity to influence people's thinking and to get them to act on some matter in a predetermined manner.
The Question:
"Describe a situation involving either someone else or a group of people where you desired to influence the way they thought about a given issue."

What to look for in the response:
Did the person rely upon logic, his or her personality, poise, or ability to use words? How is the person demonstrating the foregoing in the answer to the question? Is there any indication that the other person or people involved reacted negatively or were pressured? Is there evidence that the relation(s) were strengthened of injured by the person's handling of himself or herself?

The Question Qualifier:
This question seeks to gauge the person's comfort level in engaging in activity of a repetitive nature.
The Question:
"Do you have any routine activity in your life that you enjoy?"

What to look for in the response:
Does the person have any activity that is repeated on a fairly consistent basis? Does the person enjoy or rely upon the activity for a certain sense of predictability in his or her life? Does the person see value in the repetitive nature of the activity?

This question is intended to measure the person's tendency to accurately identify what the other person is seeking.
The Question:

What to look for in the response:
Did the person accurately assess what the other person was truly seeking or in need of? How creative was the person in handling the situation and in particular, determining the need of the other person? Did the person assume any risk in handling the matter?

What to look for in the response:

Did the person give evidence of relying upon verbal abilities, self confidence, poise, desire to be with people - or all of these things? Did the person demonstrate enjoyment of meeting new people in his or her response to the question?

This question focuses upon the person's tendency to approach whatever they do with a desire for precision.
The Question:
"Walk me through a task you had to perform where the results needed to be correct or accurate."

What to look for in the response:
How detailed was the person in describing the task? What emphasis did she or he place upon the need to be correct or accurate? Is the person as detailed and precise in answering other interview questions?

What to look for in the response:
Did short term or long term prevail? What did you learn about the person's thinking and value he or she placed on opting for long term results? What did you learn about the person's self confidence and ability to withstand pressure to opt for short term gains at the expense of long term results?

What make it long standing; something the person did? Was he or she conscious of what he or she did to make it long-standing? What did you learn about the value this person places upon maintaining long term relationships?

What to look for in the response:
Did the person act quickly? What value did the person place upon being accurate and precise? What aspect of these qualities were evident in his or her response to this and other questions?

This question looks at a person's native ability to not only be positive and enthusiastic, but to incite others to become likewise.
The Question:
"Describe a time where you had to accomplish something through a group whose morale was down."

What to look for in the response:
Did he or she turn the group around? Did he or she have confidence in his or her ability to do so? What did you learn about the person's outlook on life: upbeat and positive or it a chore?
